Michael Shupe

Michael Shupe is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in the credit union sector. Currently serving as a Regional Lending Specialist and Principal Examiner at NCUA since November 2020, Michael has held significant leadership roles, including Chief Lending Officer at Adventure Credit Union and LAFCU from June 2019 to November 2020 and January 2017 to June 2019, respectively. Prior to these positions, Michael worked as a Capital Markets Specialist at the National Credit Union Administration and held the role of Principal Examiner at NCUA for several years. Michael's career began at Lake Michigan Credit Union as a Teller II. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Grand Valley State University and an Associate of Arts from Grand Rapids Community College.
