Jim Jacobs

Jim Jacobs has a strong background in finance and risk management. Jim has worked at several notable companies throughout their career. From 1987 to 1991, they were an Internal Auditor at First City Bancorpation, where they performed financial, operational, and trust audits. Jim then moved to Emprise Financial Corporation, where they held the same position and participated in merger activities from 1991 to 1994. Jim then joined Emprise Bank as a Credit Analyst, analyzing financial statements for commercial borrowers and reviewing real estate appraisals from 1994 to 1998. In 1998, they briefly worked as a Financial Analyst at Learjet, Inc. before joining Textron Financial. At Textron Financial, they held various roles including Senior Credit Manager, where they managed global aviation finance relationships and prepared aircraft appraisals from 1998 to 2007. From 2007 to 2011, they served as Finance Manager, collaborating with business units on financial reporting and analysis. Since 2011, they have been working at Credit Union of America, initially as Vice President of Risk Management and currently as the SVP of Risk, Finance, and Accounting. In their current role, they oversee financial statement audits, risk assessments, and process improvements.

Jim Jacobs attended Kansas State University from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Accounting. Jim obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Kansas Board of Accountancy in August 1997. In June 1993, they obtained the Certified Bank Auditor certification from the Bank Administration Institute. Additionally, Jim obtained the Certification in Risk Management Assurance and the Certified Internal Auditor certifications from The Institute of Internal Auditors in July 2013.
