Jason Whiting

Jason is the CFO of Mercury® Financial. With more than 20 years of experience in advisory and principal roles, his career has spanned strategy, banking, and corporate development for financial institutions.

Before joining Mercury Financial, Jason served as the Americas Head of Strategy for Barclays, leading a team focused on the continued growth of its global investment banking, global markets, and US consumer banking businesses. Prior to that role, Jason spent nearly two decades in various roles in the Financial Institutions Groups at Barclays and previously Lehman Brothers, most recently having served as co-head of the Banks and Specialty Finance sectors. During this time, Jason advised on over $100 billion in mergers and acquisitions and equity capital transactions across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on financial technology and payments. Jason began his investment banking career at Lehman Brothers. He earned his MBA from the University of Chicago and his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.
