Peter Fitton has worked in a variety of roles in the analytics and data science space since 1997. Peter began their career at Neuristics Corporation as a Senior Staff Scientist and Director of Predictive Modeling, where they led projects to create predictive models for banking clients using neural networks and other machine learning techniques. In 2000, they took on a role as Chief Scientist at Seraphim Technology, where they designed an e-commerce product recommendation engine to be used on a SaaS basis by small to mid sized web retailers. That same year, they also took on a role as a Lecturer at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering, where they taught data mining to part-time engineering masters students. In 2001, they were a Senior Scientist at Neuristics Consulting, Trade Inc., Commonwealth Business Media. From 2002 to present, Peter has been with CreditXpert, where they have held various positions including Director of Business Analytics, Analytics & Research Manager, Product Manager, and Manager of Scientific Development. In their most recent role, they have been responsible for deepening and broadening CreditXpert's data and analytics capabilities, delivering business insights to support growth plans, managing analytics on product usage data, and providing SME for qualitative product research and market research.
Peter Fitton obtained a BMath in Operations Research and Economics from the University of Waterloo in 1993. Peter then pursued an MMath in Statistics at the same university and completed it in 1995. From 1994 to 1996, they passed Exam Levels 1, 2, and 3 of the Chartered Financial Analyst program at the CFA Institute. In 2006, they obtained a Certificate of Completion in Management Skills for New Supervisors from the American Management Association. In 2022, they earned a Dataiku Core Designer certification from Dataiku.
