Alex Beraut

Alex Béraut is a Full Stack Software Engineer with extensive experience in developing applications across various domains. Currently employed at Crescendo Health since January 2022, Alex has developed a robust Python/Flask backend and a React with Mobx/Typescript application, facilitating the access of health data for clinical trial participants. Prior experience includes contributions at Koko, where Alex worked on a TypeScript and React Native application to deliver cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia, and automated mobile app release pipelines. At Castlight Health from May 2018 to June 2021, Alex played a pivotal role in the front-end infrastructure team, enhancing angular + TypeScript applications, including a Covid-specific mobile application and other healthcare navigation tools, while also developing Java + Spring Boot backend features. Alex's early career includes an internship at Osterhout Design Group, gaining valuable hands-on experience, and an entrepreneurial venture in photography from 2012 to 2015. Alex earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2018.
