Mohammad E. Makkawi

Mohamad Eid Makkawi has over four decades of experience in the engineering and oil and gas industries, currently serving as Projects Director at Crescent Petroleum Company since September 1990, where responsibilities include developing major gas midstream projects and negotiating agreements. Previous roles include Project Manager at Halcrow, overseeing the construction of advanced gantry cranes; Executive Director at Project Development Company, acting as a commercial consultant and representative for international engineering firms; Engineering and Transport Manager at Gulftainer, managing equipment procurement for Sharjah Container Terminal; Plant Engineer at National Industries in Dubai, focusing on masonry concrete production; and Junior Site Mechanical Engineer at Mother Cat Contracting Company during the construction of a cement plant. Makkawi holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut, obtained in 1974.
