In 2016, John Goff established and led the capital campaign for the GP Invitation Fund I, a private, invitation-only fund that raised $200 million and allowed for more than $4 billion in purchasing power. Shortly after its creation, Goff combined the resources of his two real estate firms, Crescent Real Estate Holdings and Goff Capital Partners, to manage the fund.

The Fund, focused on properties in the U.S., partners with long-standing institutional relationships. The unique structure of the fund allows Crescent to be strategic in timing, property type and the structure in which it invests. This flexibility has been critical to past success and is even more important given today’s market climate. The Accounting and Finance team at Crescent Real Estate LLC is responsible for managing and overseeing all financial activities related to the company’s real estate investments and developments. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements and reports, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. The team also handles fund accounting for GP Invitation Fund I, conducts financial analysis, supports strategic financial planning, and provides insights to enhance portfolio value and investor returns.
