Clay Hughes has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry, with a focus on financing and real estate. Clay currently holds the position of Senior Vice President-Homebuilder Finance and Commercial Real Estate at CresCom Bank since July 2019. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Vice President and Charleston Market President at Aquesta Bank & Insurance from April 2018 to June 2019. Clay also held various leadership roles at NBSC, a division of Synovus Bank, Regions Bank, SunTrust Bank, and Wachovia Bank. Clay'sexpertise lies in mortgage lending, construction loans, and commercial finance.

Clay Hughes received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus in Economics and Banking from Appalachian State University from 1989 to 1993.
