Jamal Cheema has over 18 years of experience in the energy and technology industries. Jamal began their career in 2003 as a Graduate Development Program Analyst with EnergyAustralia. In this role, they were responsible for cost of supply modeling for the entire street lighting business, as well as introducing and implementing the first energy efficient light bulb campaign. Jamal then moved into the role of Senior Network Pricing Analyst, where they were responsible for formulating and analyzing innovative pricing strategies. In 2008, Jamal moved to Ausgrid, first as Smart Grid Engineering & Delivery Manager, and then as Manager Project Delivery & Engineering. In 2014, they joined Landis+Gyr as Vice President South East Asia, and was later promoted to Vice President Asia Pacific Solutions & Customer Delivery. In 2019, Jamal became Executive General Manager Australia at intelliHUB Group, and in 2022 they were appointed as Group Chief Financial Officer at CrescoNet.

Jamal Cheema received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from AGSM @ UNSW Business School in 2008, a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) from the University of Sydney in 2002, and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from the University of Sydney in 2002. Their field of study for the MBA was Business Administration and Management, General, and their fields of study for the B.E. and B.Com. were Telecommunications Engineering and Economics & Finance, respectively.
