Salih Jasim has worked in various roles in the software engineering and data science fields. In 2022, they started as a Junior Software Developer at CrescoNet, and a Research Assistant at Trimble Inc. In 2021, they were an Artificial Intelligence Engineer Intern at Acacus Group, where they worked on a project with the Dubai Police to install Mobile Network Video Recorders (MNVR) in their vehicles equipped with a range of computer vision utilities. Salih also implemented vehicle detection and depth estimation for the MNVR using the Intel OpenVINO toolkit. In 2019, they were a Research Assistant and Peer Tutor at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, where they taught basic programming techniques in C. Salih also worked on research in truck-drone package scheduling, building a Python OpenAI gym environment from scratch and designing four different package delivery algorithms. In 2020, they were a Data Science Intern at Open Insights, where they updated PySpark codebase to conform with new design and designed a hierarchical multilabel multiclass classification system.
Salih Jasim attended Princess Sumaya University for Technology from 2016 to 2022, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Network and Information Security Engineering.
