David Newble

David Newble has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the life sciences and finance industries. David currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of SPT Labtech, a company focused on accelerating life science research through innovative solutions. Prior to this, they were the Managing Director of SPT Labtech from 2015 to 2021.

David also has experience as a Non-Executive Director at Cresset software and discovery services since 2021.

Before joining SPT Labtech, David was the Chief Executive Officer of TAP Biosystems, a leading supplier of cell culture instruments and consumables. David held this position from 2009 to 2015. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Financial Officer of TAP Biosystems from 2006 to 2009.

David's finance experience includes roles as Vice President, Finance Director, and Director of RFID Operations at BTG from 2002 to 2005. David also served as the Vice President Finance and Treasurer of BTG International Inc, BTG's US subsidiary, from 2000 to 2002. Additionally, they worked as the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis at BTG International Ltd from 1997 to 2000.

David Newble attended Queen Mary University of London from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained a 2:1 degree in Physics. From 1994 to 1997, they studied at ICAEW and earned an ACA degree. No specific field of study was provided for their ACA degree.
