Lluís Campos Vicens

Lluís Campos Vicens has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Lluís'smost recent position was as a Scientific Software Developer at Cresset software and discovery, starting in January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Pharmacelera where they held various roles including Industrial PhD Candidate, Junior Researcher, and Graduate Research Intern. During their time at Pharmacelera, they conducted research in computational chemistry, collaborated on drug discovery projects, and developed their Master Thesis in Bioinformatics. Lluís also gained experience in molecular docking, protein structure study, and Linux/Bash scripting. Before joining Pharmacelera, Lluís worked as a Health and Safety Consultant at preverisk Group, where they audited accommodation suppliers globally and provided insights on improving health and safety conditions. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Research Intern at Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute - IDIBELL, where they conducted molecular biology techniques for their Master Thesis. Lluís also had a research internship at NuMat Medtech S.L., where they gained experience in cell culture maintenance, enzymatic assays, and confocal microscopy.

Lluís Campos Vicens has a diverse educational background in the field of life sciences. Lluís obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedicine from the Universitat de Barcelona, where they pursued their studies from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Bioinformatics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from 2018 to 2019. Additionally, Lluís earned another MSc in Biomedical Research from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra from 2016 to 2017. Lluís began their academic journey with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biochemistry from the Universitat de les Illes Balears, completing it in the period between 2012 and 2016.

Apart from their formal degrees, they have also obtained several certifications. Lluís has completed a course titled "Beginning C++ Programming - From Beginner to Beyond" from Udemy, receiving the certification in May 2023. In October 2017, they completed the course "Introducción a Data Science: Programación Estadística con R" from Coursera. Additionally, they hold a Black Belt in Karate Shoto Kan, which they obtained from the Real Federación Española de Kárate y D.A. in November 2008. Moreover, they have achieved an IELTS Academic score of 7.5/9 (C1+ level) from the British Council in April 2018.
