Rosemary Mantell has a strong background in scientific software development and computational chemistry. Rosemary started their career as a PhD student at the University of Cambridge, where they focused on accelerating computational energy landscape methods using CUDA C. Rosemary'swork resulted in significant performance improvements compared to traditional CPU methods. After completing their PhD in 2017, they joined the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre as a Research Software Engineer. In this role, they contributed to the development of research software. In 2018, Rosemary joined Cresset Software and Discovery as a Scientific Software Developer and later progressed to the role of Senior Scientific Software Developer.
Rosemary Mantell completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry at the University of Bristol from 2008 to 2012. Rosemary then pursued their Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Scientific Computing at the University of Cambridge from 2012 to 2013.
