Hugues Lepic is the founder and CEO of Aleph Capital Partners LLP. The alliance with Aleph leverages Crestview's investment and sector expertise with Aleph's on-the-ground resources, relationships, and sourcing capabilities.
Prior to founding Aleph in 2013, Hugues was the head of the Merchant Banking division of Goldman Sachs in Europe between 2009 and 2012 and the head of the Principal Investment Area of Goldman Sachs in Europe between 2006 and 2012. He joined Goldman Sachs in New York in 1990 and was a partner of the firm for 12 years, between 2000 and 2012. At Goldman Sachs, he spent most of his career building the Principal Investment Area and Merchant Banking franchises in Europe and established Goldman Sachs as one of the leading principal investors in Europe in private equity, credit, and infrastructure investing. He was also a member of the European Management Committee between 2008 and 2012. He has served on the boards of the following publicly listed companies: Iliad, Neuf Cegetel, Eutelsat, Prysmian, Eurotunnel, Pages Jaunes Groupe, and Technicolor. He currently serves on the board of Ekinops SA and will be joining the board of Fund III portfolio company Darag Group Limited upon the closing of that investment.
He holds an M.Sc. from Ecole Polytechnique in France and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Palmer Scholar and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
