Marty Balkema

Marty Balkema's work experience begins with their role as a Managing Partner at Calm Capital since January 2020. In this position, they are responsible for acquiring and investing in profitable technology and creative businesses. Marty also co-founded LOFT in July 2018, where they provide comprehensive support and optimization services for digital products. Alongside this, they serve as a Partner at Honestly, an agency that solves marketing, advertising, and design problems by employing a low headcount of great people combined with a broad network of specialists. Marty also holds positions as a Board Member at Ketch Commerce and Creative Farm, where they contribute their expertise and guidance. Prior to their current roles, they were a Co-Founder at CrewPay starting from March 2019. Marty's earlier professional experience includes working as an Engagement Manager at Acquia from May 2015 to May 2016, as well as positions at Rapidparts Inc., Guilford County Schools, and Infosystems Technology, Inc. where they held various managerial and developer roles.
