Chris Smith

Chris Smith has a diverse work experience in technology and engineering roles. Chris is currently serving as the Vice President of Systems Engineering at Crexi. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Staff Engineer at Cruise. Chris also held the position of Vice President, Data Science at Ticketmaster for seven years. Before that, they worked as the Chief Data Scientist at NDN, Inc. Chris has also worked in various engineering roles at Chill, SCIenergy, The Rubicon Project, and Fox Audience Network. Chris started their career as a Staff Engineer at Google and later worked as a Senior Developer at Overture Research/Yahoo Research Labs/Yahoo Content Match. Throughout their career, Chris has showcased expertise in data analysis, system engineering, and leadership.

Chris Smith attended the University of Waterloo from 1992 to 1993, studying Math (Computer Science). Prior to that, from 1990 to 1991, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on EE and CS. Additionally, Chris completed their secondary education at Appleby College from 1986 to 1990, and their high school education at SAIS-R from 1983 to 1986. Chris also holds a certification as a Cloudera Hadoop Certified Professional, obtained in 2009.
