Xiomara Rivera Pagán, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of language learning and education. Xiomara currently holds the role of Director of Language Learning at Cricket Media since February 2022. Prior to this, they founded Language Policy Consulting in July 2021, where they utilize their expertise in language policy and consulting. Xiomara has also served as an Adjunct Professor at both Howard Community College since August 2019 and Hood College from January 2021 to July 2021. Xiomara has contributed as a writer at Wayside Publishing from August 2019 to August 2020. Xiomara's teaching experience includes roles as a Teacher at Kemp Mill Elementary School from June 2018 to June 2019, where they taught 1st Grade curriculum in Spanish with a Dual Language focus, and as a Team Lead at Howard County Public Schools from July 2014 to July 2018, where they taught Spanish to students in grades Pre-Kindergarten to 5th grade. Xiomara also holds the position of Founding Board Member at Cultura Plenera since August 2012, where they promote and educates the public on the culture and music of Puerto Rico. Additionally, they have been actively involved in organizing and presenting music and cultural workshops for the organization, as well as fundraising to create a budget. Xiomara's extensive experience and expertise in language learning and education make their a valuable asset in their current role and future endeavors.
Xiomara Rivera Pagán, Ph.D. earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Notre Dame of Maryland University, where they studied from 2017 to 2021. Prior to their doctoral studies, they pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Education from the Johns Hopkins University School of Education, which they completed in 2010. Xiomara obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Towson University, where they attended from 2005 to 2009.
