Joseph Pontillo

Joe Pontillo is an experienced chemist with a robust background in pharmaceutical research and development. Currently serving as Senior Director of Chemistry at Crinetics Pharmaceuticals since October 2018, Joe has held various leadership positions including Director and Associate Director of Chemistry. Prior to this, Joe spent a decade at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Research Scientist, contributing to the development of CFTR correctors for cystic fibrosis. Earlier in the career, Joe was a Principal Scientist at Neurocrine Biosciences, focusing on small molecule ion channel blockers for neuropathic pain.
