Hal Kochiu

Hal Kochiu has extensive work experience in the field of information security and technology. They most recently served as the Chief Information Security Officer at Crisis Prevention Institute starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Manager Global Cyber Security at Spectrum Brands, Inc from 2018 to 2023. They also worked at Northwestern Mutual for a significant duration, starting in 2004 and serving as the Director of the Engineering Competency Center until 2018. In this role, they were responsible for leading research, planning, and development teams, as well as creating frameworks for software engineering across various technologies.

Hal Kochiu has a Master's degree in Engineering Management from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems / Marketing from the Lubar College of Business. In addition, they have obtained certifications such as "Using SABSA to Architect Cloud Security" from LinkedIn and "Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)" from ISACA.
