Kathryn Ward, AMFT, currently serves as the School Based Services Coordinator & Therapist and Shift Supervisor at Crisis Support Services of Alameda County since July 2021, following the role of MFT Trainee. Concurrently, Kathryn volunteers at Contra Costa Crisis Center, providing emotional support and community resource referrals while training new volunteers. Kathryn has an extensive background in higher education, having worked at Samuel Merritt University from August 2009 to May 2021 in various capacities, including Assistant Director of Student Services and Co-Facilitator of the White Privilege Accountability Group, advocating for inclusive support and policy change. Prior experience includes serving as the Assistant Director of Graduate Admission at California College of the Arts, where Kathryn contributed to graduate enrollment strategies. Educational qualifications include an MFA in Fine Art from California College of the Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Studio Art from UC Santa Barbara, along with training at The Wright Institute.
