Aleen Stein

Aleen Stein has been in the entertainment industry for over 35 years. Aleen began their career in 1984 as the co-founder and co-owner of The Criterion Collection, a collection of classic and contemporary films on home video. Aleen also served as President of Voyager Publishing in 1984. In 1995, Stein became the CEO of Organa LLC, a company that seeks to publish compelling content that connects people to both fun and learning. In 1999, they took on the role of Director of International Licensing and Software at Scholastic Inc.

Aleen Stein has a long and varied educational history. Aleen completed their B.A. in Journalism from the University of Oregon between 1964 and 1966. Aleen then went on to earn their M.A. in Anthropology from California State University, Fullerton in 1971-1972. Finally, they completed their M.A. and Ph.D. (ABD) in Anthropology from the University of California, Los Angeles between 1972 and 1979.
