João Cortez

João Cortez is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the field of manufacturing and information technology. As the Co-Founder and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Product Manager at Critical Manufacturing since May 2009, João leads the design, architecture, and roadmap of MES products. Prior to this role, João served as the Manufacturing Information Technology Quality Manager at Qimonda, overseeing software development processes and establishing quality metrics. João's background includes significant positions at Infineon Technologies, where responsibilities ranged from IT Manufacturing Architect to Manufacturing Execution Systems Engineer, focusing on performance optimization and architecture design for manufacturing systems. João began the career as an Analyst/Programmer at Texas Instruments-Samsung in Portugal and also contributed as a Teaching Assistant at Universidade do Minho, holding a Licenciate Degree in Computer Science and Systems Engineering from the same institution.
