Rebecca Steurer has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of content strategy and marketing. Rebecca currently holds the position of Group Director of Content Strategy at Critical Mass since July 2023. Previously, they worked as a Director of Content Strategy at the same company from April 2020 to July 2023.
In addition to their role at Critical Mass, Rebecca has also been involved in entrepreneurship and education. Rebecca is the Co-Founder and Instructor at Content Academy, a platform that offers digital marketing training. Rebecca also founded their own company called ContentRS - Making content real simple. It provides organizations with content strategies and content marketing strategies to support their business and marketing goals. Rebecca started this venture in June 2016 and remains involved to date.
Prior to their entrepreneurial endeavors, Rebecca held various positions in different organizations. Rebecca worked as the VP of Client Strategy at CareContent, Inc. from March 2019 to April 2020. Rebecca also served as an Associate Director of Content Strategy at Rightpoint from January 2015 to June 2016.
Before joining Rightpoint, Rebecca was an Instructor of Content Strategy at the American Design & Master-Craft Initiative (ADMCi) from August 2013 to May 2015. Rebecca also worked as an Associate Director of Content Strategy and later as a Senior Content Strategist & Chief Content Marketer at Manifest Digital from September 2012 to June 2014 and from November 2010 to September 2012, respectively.
Rebecca started their career as a Content Manager at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in September 2002, where they gained experience in information architecture and user experience. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Associate Marketing at Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group from January 2000 to August 2002, where they managed the health information page on the organization's website.
Overall, Rebecca Steurer has gained a wealth of expertise and knowledge in content strategy, marketing, and education throughout their career. Rebecca continues to make significant contributions in their current role at Critical Mass and remains actively engaged in entrepreneurship and training initiatives.
Rebecca Steurer obtained a Certificate in Designing Strategy from IDEO U in 2019. Prior to that, they pursued their education at Illinois State University from 1990 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Masters of Science degrees. Their fields of study were Nutrition Sciences and Exercise Science.
