Executive Vice President at Critical Mass

Scott Hughes has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Scott began their career in 2000 as an eBusiness Analyst at TransAlta Utilities. In 2002, they joined Critical Mass as a Senior Analyst/Planner, where they worked until 2006. Scott then moved up the ranks at Critical Mass, holding various roles such as Planning Director, Director of Insight & Planning, Vice President Insight and Planning, and eventually Vice President Strategy from 2015 to 2019. Since 2019, Scott has been serving as the Executive Vice President at Critical Mass, where they are responsible for developing digital strategies and overseeing the Strategy Department across multiple locations. Scott also leads other strategic services, including Content Strategy, Social Media, and the in-house research Studio called Curious.

Scott Hughes has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from the University of Calgary, which they obtained from 1995 to 2000. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) degree in Management Information Systems from the same university, completing it from 2000 to 2002. Additionally, Scott obtained a certification in Business Analysis from Mount Royal University Continuing Education in January 2010.
