Marketing Science Senior Director at Critical Mass

Stephen Verspan has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Stephen began their career in 2005 as a Bilingual Customer Service Representative at Bell Canada. From 2006 to 2008, they worked at Globalstar in various marketing roles, where they evaluated advertising opportunities, developed promotions, and coordinated campaigns.

In 2008, Stephen joined Deloitte Canada as an Online Marketing Coordinator, where they trained clients on web analytics and SEO. Stephen later became an Online Marketing Senior Analyst, managing digital marketing projects and providing performance analysis. In 2014, they became the Online Marketing Analytics Manager, leading marketing analytics efforts and helping senior management assess ROI.

Stephen then joined Critical Mass in 2015 as a Marketing Science Lead, where they established measurement programs and collaborated with clients and partners to capture marketing effectiveness. In 2017, they moved to Publicis Sapient as the Manager of Data Science & Analytics, leading a team and providing insights on ROI and customer behavior.

Returning to Critical Mass in 2020, Stephen took on the role of Marketing Science Director, overseeing marketing science strategies and client engagements. Stephen was recently promoted to Marketing Science Senior Director in 2021, where they provide cross-functional technical leadership and develops best practices for MarTech implementation.

Throughout their career, Stephen has demonstrated expertise in marketing analytics, data science, and strategic decision-making. Stephen has effectively managed teams, built relationships with stakeholders, and provided thought leadership in the field.

Stephen Verspan has a diverse education history. Stephen pursued a Master's degree in Management Analytics from Queen's University, which they completed in the year 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Management of Technology and Innovation from Ryerson University, graduating in 2012. In 2005, Stephen earned a Certificate in Spanish from UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal. Stephen'sundergraduate studies took place at Concordia University, where they completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing in 2003.

Additionally, Stephen Verspan has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2020, they completed the Google Tag Manager Fundamentals certification offered by Google. In 2019, they obtained the Certified Tealium AudienceStream Professional certification and the AudienceStream Basic User Certification from Tealium. During the same year, they also achieved the AudienceStream and DataAccess Advanced User Certification from Tealium. Furthermore, in 2013, they obtained the Google Analytics Individual Qualification certification. Lastly, in 2012, Stephen received the Harvard Leadership Essentials certificate from Harvard Business Publishing.
