Wanying (Melanie) Li has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Wanying (Melanie) began their career as a Student Ambassador at Haskayne Students' Association in 2018. Later, they worked as a Dance Instructor at a Private Dance Studio. In 2020, they joined AIESEC Calgary as the Vice President of Outgoing Global Talent. Concurrently, they also worked at AIESEC Canada, where they held various positions including Digital Experience Manager, Account General Manager, and National Conference Vice President Sponsorship. In 2021, they interned as a Project Delivery Intern at Critical Mass while also working as a Digital Marketing Specialist at GolfADay. Wanying (Melanie) further expanded their experience in 2022 as a Client Services Associate at AlphaSights. Currently, they hold the position of Project Coordinator at Critical Mass since 2023.
Wanying (Melanie) Li pursued their education at the Haskayne School of Business and the University of Calgary from 2017 to 2022. Wanying (Melanie) obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a focus on International Business from Haskayne, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from the University of Calgary.
In 2022, they attended the Singapore Management University for a brief period, where they pursued a second Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in International Business. Additionally, during the same year, they studied Japanese Language and Literature at Senshu University.
Aside from their academic qualifications, Wanying Li has also acquired several certifications. Notably, they completed the "Harvard Manage Mentor: Persuading Others" and "Harvard Manage Mentor: Leading People" programs offered by Harvard Business Publishing in June and May of 2020, respectively. Furthermore, they obtained a certification in Global Collaboration from X-Culture in April 2020. Lastly, in June 2017, Wanying Li obtained a certification in Professional Development in Art from the Calgary Board of Education.
