Ramona Walls

Ramona Walls has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and research. Ramona is currently working at Critical Path Institute (C-Path), where they hold the position of Executive Director of Data Science since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at the same institute as a Data Scientist from December 2020 to August 2022. Before joining C-Path, Ramona was a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona, starting in April 2018. Their role primarily focused on building tools for semantic data integration and working with ontologies, metadata, and identifiers. Ramona also held the same position as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona from September 2019. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Stony Brook University, which they completed in 2009. Ramona later earned another Ph.D. in the same field at Stony Brook University, although the specific dates for this degree are not provided.
