Derek Huenecke

Derek Huenecke is a seasoned footwear design professional with extensive experience in the industry. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Footwear Design at Crocs since August 2023, Derek previously held the position of Global Footwear Designer II at Under Armour, focusing on lacrosse, golf, and cleated products from April 2022 to August 2023. Prior to that, Derek was the Category Lead Global Footwear Designer at Vans, where contributions included lifestyle footwear and snowboarding boots from January 2016 to April 2022. Additional roles include Footwear Designer at BucketFeet, Footwear Design Internships at New Balance and Kenneth Cole Productions, and a History Management Intern role at adidas. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Industrial Design from Iowa State University and a semester abroad in Footwear Design at the London College of Fashion.
