Laura Marschner has extensive work experience in the non-profit sector. From 2018 to the present, they have worked at the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, starting as a Director of Fundraising Campaigns & Volunteer Engagement and currently serving as the Senior Director in the same role. In this position, they are responsible for planning, directing, analyzing, improving, and implementing special events, as well as recruiting and engaging executive volunteer leaders and committee members. Laura also works closely with the Executive Director to execute individual, foundation, and corporate giving initiatives.
Prior to their current role, Laura worked at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society from 2002 to 2018. Laura held various positions such as Relationship Manager for Bike MS, Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist, TeamMS Manager, and Information and Referral Coordinator. This experience provided their with a strong background in event management, finance, and coordination of resources.
Laura Marschner attended Ocean County College from 1988 to 1989, where they studied Health Care. Laura did not obtain a degree from this institution. In addition to their college education, Laura Marschner obtained a certification as a State of Michigan Notary Public in February 2014 from the State of Michigan. Laura also obtained a certification as an Amateur Radio Operator Technician in January 2014 from the FCC.
