Shohel Newaz Ph.d., P. E.

Shohel Newaz, Ph.D., P.E., is a seasoned structural engineer with extensive experience in various sectors, including industrial, commercial, and residential projects. Currently serving as a Senior Structural Engineer at Crom, LLC since April 2018, Shohel specializes in the design of pre-stressed composite tanks for applications such as water, wastewater, and thermal energy storage. Previous roles include senior structural engineering positions at Bilfinger Industrial Services - USA, Alliance Design Group, and C&I Engineering, where responsibilities ranged from providing structural engineering services to designing complex structures supporting petroleum refining equipment. Shohel's solid academic background includes a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering and a Master’s in Structural Engineering from The University of Akron, alongside a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
