Erik Nilsen is an experienced librarian currently serving as the Adult Services Librarian at Cromaine District Library since July 2020. Previously, Erik worked as the Cataloging and Reference Librarian at Detroit Catholic Central High School from August 2011 to July 2020, where responsibilities included providing reference services, information literacy instruction, and cataloging an average of 1,000 items annually. Prior experience includes roles as a Digital Reference Service Volunteer at Internet Public Library and a Library Intern at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, where Erik contributed to digitizing audio and video content. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Rutgers University and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Seton Hall University.
