Brad joined Cronauer Law in 2020 as an experienced trial lawyer.

Previously worked on behalf of insurance companies before the Illinois Worker’s Compensation Commission throughout the state of Illinois for two and a half years. He handled all aspect of worker’s compensation claims from initial case assessments, medical records review, negotiations, depositions, and trials.

Experience

Brad is well versed in all level of claims from permanent partial disability claims, to loss of trade and wage loss, to permanent and total disability claims.

Brad also handled Occupational Diseases, from fume and chemical claims to COVID-19 claims. Brad handled cases before Arbitrators, Commissioners, Circuit Court and Appellate Courts.

Prior to worker’s compensation, Brad tried hundreds of cases through his five and half years at the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office. In both trials before a Judge and Jury, Brad presented all types of cases from petty traffic, misdemeanors, DUI, domestic violence, financial crimes, property crimes, juvenile, illegal and prescription drugs, and violent crimes to class X felonies.

Brad was also involved in Grand Jury proceedings, subpoenas and investigations, and witness and victim consultations.

Education

Brad graduated from Illinois State University in 2008 with bachelor degrees in History and Political Science with Honors and from the Honors Program. Brad earned his Juris Doctor degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2011 and passed the bar the same year. During Law School, Brad worked for Judge Julia Jent in Porter County Indiana and at the Illinois Attorney General’s Office pioneering familial DNA collection and use in the state.

Brad lives in Aurora with his wife and two children.
