Lasse Schulze has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Lasse began their career as a Research Assistant at the Leibniz Institute Grossbeeren in Germany in 2005. Lasse then pursued their Ph.D. in Plant Physiology and Plant Pathology at the University of Toronto, where they also worked as a Teaching and Research Assistant.
After completing their Ph.D., Lasse Schulze took on several positions related to academic consulting and healthcare. Lasse served as a Director at APMI Associates Inc, a Senior Director at a consulting firm focused on healthcare. Lasse also worked as a TAHSN Advisor at the Council of Academic Hospitals of Ontario, where they collaborated with senior executives from the University of Toronto and its affiliated academic hospitals to develop initiatives for high-quality patient care delivery, education, knowledge transfer, and research innovation.
Lasse Schulze also has experience in the field of sports management. Lasse was the Volunteer Director of the Canada Cup in 2014 and the President and Founder of the Unity Cup, the first international hockey tournament in central Africa, from 2010 to 2014.
Additionally, Lasse Schulze served as a Volunteer Engagement Advisor at UTCA Volunteer Consulting Group, where they provided advisory services to nonprofit organizations. Lasse also worked as a Research Associate at St. Michael's Hospital, where they consulted major national and international clients from the Global Health sector on strategy, operations, and organization.
Most recently, Lasse Schulze worked as the Director of Research and Agronomics at Cronos Group, a cannabis company, where they were responsible for overseeing research and agronomy-related activities.

Prior to that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Plant Physiology + Toxicology from 2007 to 2013, also at the University of Toronto. Lasse Schulze started their education journey by earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Horticultural Sciences, Business from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin between 2004 and 2007. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Radiation Safety Worker from The University of Toronto Radiation Protection Authority in 2007.
