CROP Organization
Melissa Mercado is currently working as a CROP Fellow at CROP Organization, where Melissa is undergoing 12 months of intensive tech-focused careers training. Prior to this, Melissa worked as an Intern at Impact Justice from April 2023 to February 2024, assisting individuals who were incarcerated with their re-entry needs such as public assistance, resumes, and DMV. Melissa holds an Associate's degree in Communication, General from Chaffey College, completed between January 2015 and July 2020.

The CROP Organization is comprised of proximate leaders who have more than 100 years of collective experience with the criminal justice system. Informed by lived experience in prison, formal education, and intense dedication to make a positive impact, CROP drives holistic social transformation by democratizing opportunity, reducing recidivism, and increasing public safety.
