Deepak Murugan

Deepak Murugan has a diverse work experience in the field of earth observation and technology. Deepak is currently working at Cropin as a Lead EO Scientist, a position they have held since October 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior EO Scientist at Cropin from June 2021 to September 2023.

Before joining Cropin, Deepak worked at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, where they held various research positions. Deepak was a Senior Research Fellow from March 2017 to April 2021, a Junior Research Fellow from March 2015 to March 2017, and a Junior Research Fellow from April 2013 to February 2015.

Deepak also has experience as a student intern and master thesis student at IMMS gGmbH, where they designed a low phase noise voltage controlled oscillator for a GPS/Galileo receiver.

Additionally, they worked on VLSI chip design projects at Linkoping University, where they designed, simulated, and fabricated full custom high-speed serial link transceiver chips in 0.35 µm CMOS technology using Cadence Virtuoso.

Deepak Murugan completed their Doctorate degree in Remote sensing and image processing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, from 2015 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Communication Electronics from Linköping University, Sweden, from 2009 to 2012.
