Jan F. Dutton is the CEO of CropProphet, a company that uses Big Data analytics techniques and climate informatics to help companies measure, monitor, mitigate, and adapt to the changing environment imposed by climate change.

Dutton has over 20 years of experience in the field of weather and climate risk management. Jan started their career at Storm Exchange, Inc as the Vice President of Business Development. Jan then moved to DTN as the General Manager of Weather Systems. In 2009, they joined Schneider Electric as the VP of Business Development for Smart Infrastructure - Environment. Jan left Schneider Electric in 2013 to become the CEO of ClimBiz Ltd, where they stayed until 2020. Jan then took their current position as the CEO of CropProphet in 2018.

Dutton has a proven track record in helping companies minimize risks and maximize opportunities in the face of a changing climate. Under their leadership, CropProphet has become a leading provider of climate risk management solutions

Jan F. Dutton has a certificate in project management from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, a PhD in meteorology from Penn State University, an MBA in business from Pennsylvania State University College of Business, and an MS in meteorology from Penn State University.
