Derek Massey

Derek Massey has over 18 years of work experience in the technology sector. From 2002 to 2004, they worked as an Electrical Engineer & Software Developer for Bourgault Industries Ltd. From 2004 to 2011, they worked as a Controls Engineer for USNR and AMS Solutions, Inc. From 2013 to 2020, they were the Lead Software Developer for CropRecords.com, where they developed software systems for Precision Agriculture using C#, WPF, Xamarin, Postgres, AWS, Docker, and NodeJS. Derek is currently the Chief Technology Officer for Croptimistic Technology Inc., where they are leading the precision ag software development team.

Derek Massey obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science - BS in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan between 1997 and 2002.
