Bruce Nickerson has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Bruce began their career at KPMG US as a Manager, where they gained valuable experience in financial management. Bruce then joined Peoples Heritage Bank (now TD) as Vice President and Assistant Controller, where they focused on financial analysis, reporting, and regulatory compliance. Following that, Bruce served as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer at York Insurance Group of Maine, where they played a crucial role in the company's de-mutualization, capital raise, and eventual sale and integration.

Bruce's next venture was at The Maine Merchant Bank, LLC, where they served as Vice President and worked closely with the bank's president in identifying and analyzing potential investments. Bruce then joined Bangor Savings Bank as an Executive Level Corporate Strategist & Financial Leader, collaborating with three successive CEOs to transform the bank from a regional mutual bank to a multi-state financial services provider.

Bruce's commitment to the local community led him to Northeast Delta Dental, where they served as a Director on the Board of Delta Dental Plan of Maine. Bruce played a key role in providing access to oral health for Maine consumers through a comprehensive network of dental professionals.

In 2020, Bruce joined Maine Angels as a member of the Investment Advisory Board for the Dirigo Angel Fund, a Maine-based angel investment fund. Bruce contributed to the fund's growth and success by identifying and supporting promising investment opportunities.

Most recently, Bruce assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer at Cross Insurance, where they oversee the financial operations of the company.

Bruce Nickerson began their education at Brewer High School from 1977 to 1981. Following this, they attended the University of Maine from 1982 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Accounting as part of their studies in Business Administration. Additionally, Bruce obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the State of Maine in 1987.
