Leon Schmidt

Leon Schmidt is an experienced investment professional specializing in European special situations, currently working at Cross Ocean Partners since July 2025. Prior to this role, Leon served as an analyst in financial restructuring and special situations at Houlihan Lokey from April 2023 to July 2025, and at Credit Suisse in leveraged finance from July 2022 to March 2023, where Leon also completed a summer analyst position in 2021. Leon's early career includes internships in debt advisory, investment management, M&A, and credit advisory across various firms, including GCA Altium, Scalable Capital, Consus Partner, and Deloitte. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Finance from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and Corvinus University of Budapest, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The University of Bonn and the University of York, along with an Abitur from Marienschule Opladen.
