Matthew Rymer

Matthew Rymer serves as the Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer at Cross Ocean Partners since December 2016. Prior to this role, Matthew held the position of Associate General Counsel in Legal & Compliance at Silver Point Capital from December 2014 to October 2016, and worked as Vice President and Counsel in Legal & Compliance for GSO Capital Partners at The Blackstone Group from August 2012 to November 2014. Earlier in their career, Matthew was an Associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates from 2007 to 2012, and Matthew began their legal journey as a Summer Associate at the same firm in 2006. Matthew Rymer earned a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law.
