CISO at Crossbeam

Chris Castaldo has a diverse work experience, with roles in various companies and organizations. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Information Security Officer at Crossbeam. In addition, they are an author at Start-Up Secure and a Fellow at the National Security Institute (NSI). Chris has also served as a Visiting Fellow at NSI and as a Strategic Advisor at Tautuk™. Chris is an Advisor & Investor at BalkanID and an Advisor at SafeBase. Chris is a Member of the Board of Directors at Rallye for Vets and a Founding Board Member at Security Tinkerers. Chris is involved in mentoring as well, serving as a Volunteer Mentor at American Corporate Partners (ACP) and Veterati.

Chris Castaldo holds a Bachelor of Cybersecurity degree from American Military University, specializing in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance. In addition, they obtained the ITIL® Foundation certificate in IT Service Management from CSME, Inc. in July 2015 and the GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) certification from the SANS Institute in February 2013. Chris is also certified as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and is currently pursuing the GIAC Certified Incident Handler Certification, Linux+, and Security+ certifications from various institutions.
