Robert Smith

Robert Smith currently serves as Driver Team Manager at CrossCountry Trains, a position held since August 2020. Prior to this, Robert worked as Driver Manager at Chiltern Railways, overseeing the Stourbridge Driver Depot from April 2018 to August 2020, and also held the role of Interim Driver Depot Manager for multiple depots. Robert's career in the rail industry began as a Train Driver with positions held at Direct Rail Services and Arriva Trains Wales, following earlier experience as a Police Officer with Dyfed-Powys Police. Additionally, Robert represented ASLEF members as a Company Council Representative for a decade. Robert is currently pursuing a BA Hons in Human Resources Management at the University of Wolverhampton, with studies ongoing since 2011.
