Heather Lawrence-Benedict

Heather Lawrence-Benedict, Ph.D., is an accomplished sport management expert with extensive experience in academia and athletic administration. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Sport Operations at CrossFit, LLC since January 2021, Lawrence-Benedict also teaches graduate courses as an Adjunct Professor at Ohio University. Previously held positions include Adjunct Professor at the University of Guelph, and a distinguished career at Ohio University where roles included Full Professor, Associate Dean, and NCAA Faculty Athletic Representative. Lawrence-Benedict has a strong foundation in teaching methodologies and program development, demonstrated through the launch of a blended graduate program for sport executives. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration and multiple degrees in Sport Management from the University of Florida.
