Sarah Norris, Ed.D., MBA, M.Ed., has a diverse and extensive work experience history. Sarah is currently serving as the Chief Program Officer at Crossnore Communities for Children, where they manage a 200+ program division of child welfare and clinical staff. Sarah'sresponsibilities include overseeing program strategic direction, revenue and expense management, quality and compliance, pilot initiatives, and client advocacy. Sarah has spearheaded the implementation of multiple new or realigned service lines to meet the changing needs of clients in the child welfare and mental health sectors. Prior to this role, Sarah served as the Child Welfare Division Director at Crossnore, where they provided direct oversight of child welfare program staff and developed a restructure plan for the program division.

Before joining Crossnore, Sarah worked at NCDHHS as a Regional Program Representative/Program Monitor, leading program evaluations for a quarter of North Carolina county child welfare agencies. Sarah provided reports, recommendations, and consultation to county leaders based on evaluation results. Sarah also chaired a statewide workgroup dedicated to modifying NC Child Welfare Policy and Practice expectations.

Sarah's previous experience includes serving as a Program Administrator at DHHS, where they provided oversight to a $9.1 million child welfare program division. Sarah implemented a quality assurance team to ensure the safety, permanency, and well-being of all clients. Additionally, Sarah worked at DHHS as a Forensic Supervisor and Forensic Social Worker.

Sarah has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at Gardner-Webb University, where they taught relevant courses.

Sarah began their education journey at Gardner-Webb University, where they earned their Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2003. Following this, they attended Winthrop University from 2003 to 2005 and obtained their Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor.

Continuing their pursuit of higher education, Sarah enrolled at East Carolina University and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree between 2010 and 2013. In 2014, they obtained a certification in MBTI from CPP, Inc.
