Javier Tellagorry MD, RPVI, FACS is an experienced vascular and endovascular surgeon currently serving as the Director of Medical Education at Heartland Regional Medical Center since October 2016. In addition to this role, Javier has been a vascular and endovascular surgeon at Crossroads Community Hospital since August 2017 and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine since the same year. Previous experience includes completing a vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship at Temple University Hospital and general surgery residency at multiple institutions, including Abington Memorial Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, and MedStar Health. Early career experience in cardiac surgery was gained at Instituto del Corazón, Hospital de Clinicas, and Asociación Española. Javier earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Universidad de la República between 1996 and 2005.
