John Burroughs, MD, FAAFP has a diverse work experience. John is currently working as a Family Medicine Physician at The Kearney Clinic since August 2023. Prior to this, they held several leadership positions at the Missouri Academy of Family Physicians, including Chairman of The Board of Directors, President, President Elect, and Vice President. John also served as the Medical Director at Crossroads Hospice from March 2012 onwards. In addition to their medical roles, John Burroughs has worked as a Yoga Instructor at Serenity on the Square and KC Yoga Center. John has also been involved in various organizations, such as NORTHLAND SHEPHERDS CENTER and Missourl Academy of Family Physicians, serving as a Board Member. John Burroughs has a long-standing career as a Physician at Cobblestone Family Health and as a Medical Director at Ashton Court Care Centre. John has also contributed as a Faculty member at KC Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training.

John Burroughs, MD, FAAFP completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Zoology at Duke University from 1988 to 1992. John then pursued their medical education at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where they earned their Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree from 1992 to 1996. In 2016 and 2017, they further expanded their education by completing a 200-hour certification in Kansas City Yoga Teacher Training.
