Mark Stewart

Mark Stewart is currently a board member at CROSSROADS RHODE ISLAND. Prior to that, they were the Chief Financial Officer at New Century Health from May 2014 to August 2015.

At New Century Health, Stewart drove operational and financial efficiencies, establishing core metrics designed to optimize financial performance while maximizing capital position. Mark was also instrumental in negotiating profitable client contracts, which led to the expansion of the company's footprint to 42 states (up from 12). This diversification of revenue streams across both risk and non-risk product offerings led to a 30% growth in top line revenue.

Stewart also developed a business model and financial incentives for a new MSO / ACO product line, with anticipated sales of 30,000 members and $5M EBITDA within the first year. Additionally, they implemented a data warehousing structure that combined clinical and claim data to produce a robust set of business intelligence tools for providers and payer clients. This allowed for enhanced population health / quality and cost management programs.

In 2017, Stewart worked with investment banking partners to position the company for sale. The company was eventually sold to Evolent.

Mark Stewart began their educational career by earning a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics from Pace University. Mark then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Finance from Fairfield University.
