Alec Raring

Alec Raring is currently a Mechanical Engineer at Crowley, where responsibilities include assisting senior engineers in the R&D team to explore new technologies for efficiency, sustainability, and profitability. Recent projects involve evaluating the GREET Marine Module emissions tool, conducting market research on alternative maritime fuels, and coordinating a study on marinized hydrogen fuel cells. Prior experience includes leadership roles with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) at the University of Washington, where responsibilities entailed budget management, outreach, and event planning. Internships at ATS Automation, Inc. and AGC Biologics provided valuable hands-on experience in engineering and manufacturing processes.
