Christopher Tischner has an extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Christopher started their career as an Engineering Intern at Panasonic Avionics Corporation, where they worked on creating a program for Linux computers and designed Ethernet and power breakout boxes. Christopher then became an MTS I Mechanical Engineer, responsible for designing and building an ARINC 600 Chamber and implementing design for manufacturing practices. Tischner later became an MTS II Mechanical Engineer, leading the design of a high-volume production product line of economy seat class monitors. Over 100,000 of these products were sold.
In 2020, Tischner joined Electric GT, LLC as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they designed battery housings, electronic enclosures, and chill plates for the world's first electric converted Ferrari 308. Christopher also designed a universal motor mount subframe.
In the same year, Tischner joined Virgin Orbit as a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer, where they led the design of avionics controller enclosures and assemblies for LauncherONE and Boeing 747. Christopher also led a project to redesign and overhaul the entire avionics system, focused on design for manufacturing considerations.
Most recently, Tischner joined Terran Orbital Corporation as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, specializing in components and modules.
Christopher Tischner earned their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, where they studied from 2009 to 2014.
