Graham Tyson

Graham Tyson, PE, has a diverse range of work experience in the maritime industry. Graham worked as the VP of Operations for Crowley Wind Services, overseeing wind services operations. Prior to that, they held roles at Vestas, including Director of Construction Bid Management and Operations Logistics Offshore, where they led a team responsible for offshore construction bidding and cost analysis. Graham also served as the Marine Operations Manager, focusing on planning and managing the vessels required for offshore wind turbine installation and service.

Before their time at Vestas, Tyson worked at Maritime Applied Physics Corporation as a Naval Architect and Project Manager, specializing in aluminum small craft. In this role, they managed proposal, design, and production for various projects, including offshore wind vessels.

Tyson also has military experience, serving in the U.S. Coast Guard as the Port Security Unit 305 Engineering Department Head and the Cutter Boats Asset Line Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for maintenance planning, logistics, and acquisition of ship-based small boats. Graham also served as an Engineering and Deck Watch Officer, supervising the operation of propulsion and auxiliary systems onboard a Coast Guard Cutter.

Tyson started their career in the United States Navy as a Midshipman. Overall, their work experience demonstrates their expertise in operations management, construction bid management, marine operations, naval architecture, and project management in the maritime industry.

Graham Tyson, PE holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, which they completed between 2008 and 2012. Graham has also obtained various certifications, including Business Fundamentals from Harvard Business School Online, Offshore Wind Basic Safety Training from the Global Wind Organisation, and Professional Engineer certification in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the State of Maryland. In addition, they hold a Master of Self-Propelled Vessels Including Auxiliary Sail Of Less Than 100 Gross Register Tons (GRT) Upon Near Coastal Waters from the U.S. Coast Guard, and a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
